| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: Action on this item was postponed at the December 2, 2019 City Council meeting so that staff could meet with representatives of the neighborhood and discuss what land uses current city codes allow, which practices may require modification, and what the process for securing special permissions and/or variances to engage in non-traditional and/or agricultural land uses in the future. This meeting was held, and staff had additional communications with interested parties regarding this tract, now slated for annexation. It is recommended that the City Council proceed with annexation. The letter provided to representatives of the neighborhood creates no new legal or contractual requirements other than those already provided by city and state law. |
